DHHS, Saving Lives Task Force issues request for grant applicants

Dare County is part of North Carolina’s historic $26 billion agreement that will help bring desperately needed relief to communities impacted by opioids.

In Dare County, these funds will be used to support treatment, recovery, harm reduction, and other life-saving programs and services. Because Dare County is a “can do” community, a portion of the funds will be used to fund mini grants.

Dare County Department of Health & Human Services is offering five grants for up to a maximum of $25,000 each. Proposals will need to include deliverables which align with the North Carolina Memorandum of Agreement. The application can be found at www.DareNC.com/MiniGrants

Funds will be provided through a monthly reimbursement process. These funds are not recurring after June 30, 2023. Monies awarded must be spent by June 30, 2023. Final report of the project must be submitted by June 30, 2023. Proposals must be submitted by September 6, 2022.
