Dennis Leslie McClease, 71, of Hillside, NJ died Monday, January 13, 2020, at Peak Resources – Outer Banks.
Born in Norfolk, VA on August 27, 1948, he was the son of the late Naomi McClease and Emmerson Scarborough.
A United States Army veteran, Dennis served his country honorably. He enjoyed basketball and music, especially oldies R&B soul, western movies and TV shows.
He is survived by a daughter, Teresa Olds; two sons, Corey McClease (Tashana) and Derek McClease; five grandchildren, Naadir Basknight, Angela Delon, Ayden McClease, Alyssa McClease, and Alli McClease; sister, Mabel Sellers; niece, Shakira Bryant; and nephews, Willie Sellers and Michael Sellers.
A funeral will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 18, 2020, at Twiford Colony Chapel, Manteo, NC. The family will receive friends and relatives Friday evening from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home chapel.
