Planned Parenthood Votes! South Atlantic endorsed Democrat Susan Harman-Scott for North Carolina’s First Senate District seat on May 8. A resident of Nags Head, Harman-Scott has represented families and businesses in the courts of northeastern North Carolina for 37 years.

Planned Parenthood Votes! South Atlantic chose Harman-Scott because her campaign places a priority on protecting reproductive rights for all people across North Carolina. “Women are entitled to make their own healthcare decisions without government intrusion,” said Harman-Scott.  “Unfortunately, our state legislature is waging an all-out assault on women’s reproductive freedom, which must be stopped. The stakes could not be higher in this election.”

Susan Harman-Scott is running for election to North Carolina’s State Senate to represent District 1. An attorney, she received her degrees from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Wake Forest University School of Law. Harman-Scott has a law practice in Nags Head.
