Dare County Library announces author talks, new features for patrons in September

The Dare County Library has announced the following new features and upcoming author talk events for patrons in September:

Introducing: The Library Speakers Consortium

LSC Towles

The Dare County Library’s Library Speakers Consortium showcases a virtual author talk series each month featuring bestselling, award-winning and highly acclaimed authors from around the world. The featured writers and thought leaders will cover a wide range of fiction and nonfiction genres.

This new feature was made possible by funding provided by the Dare County Library Foundation.

The free, virtual series takes place two to three times a month and includes the opportunity to ask the author questions. A complete list of events is available on Dare County Library’s virtual author talk series website at LSC | Dare County Library Webinars and Online Events.

Author talks for this month include: 

Life, Love, Family and Food: An Author Talk with Lidia Bastianich
Emmy Award-winning public television host, best‐selling cookbook author, restaurateur, and owner of a flourishing food and entertainment business
Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 7 p.m.

On Writing Three International Bestsellers: An Author Talk with Amor Towles
New York Times Bestselling author of “The Rules of Civility,” “A Gentleman in Moscow” and “The Lincoln Highway”
