About Dare County Dance
The Dare County Dance Department is a division of the Dare County Parks and Recreation Department established in 1986 and is under the direction of Lisa Allen Heath. Dance classes for ages three through high school are offered in Manteo, Kill Devil Hills and Buxton. Classes are taught in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical and pointe, with individual student instruction dependent on age and level of accomplishment.
Registration for the Dare County Dance Program will open for all three locations in July 2022. Dare County Dance offers a 12-week program option followed by a Christmas recital, as well as an eight-month program with spring recitals. All classes include costumes for the recitals in the program’s tuition.
