Powells Point – Danny Blankenship “Pop Pop”, 44 of Powell’s Point, NC, passed away May 22, 2020 unexpectedly due to natural causes. Danny was born in Florida on July 28,1975 to Jerry and Patricia Blankenship. He married Jill Blankenship in 1996.
Danny is survived by his parents, Jerry and Patricia; his wife Jill; three children, Dakotah, Kyle (Morgan), and Danielle (Andrew); two sisters, Sarah (Adam Mitchell), and Nikki (Mike Martin); three grandsons, Grayson, Korbin, and Benjamin; his mother-in-law, Wendy Hoover; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Danny worked for Cardinal Logistics and loved his football. One of his favorite teams was The Ohio State Buckeyes (O-H) and most of all he loved to spend time with his family and friends. Danny is a beloved member of the family and a wonderful father, husband, son, brother, nephew, uncle and so much more. He surely will be missed…. See you in Heaven, Danny.
Friends and family may attend a visitation from 5 pm to 8 pm, Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at the Gallop Funeral Chapel in Nags Head, NC. The family will hold a private memorial service in Ohio in the future.
