A cut telephone fiber line in Dare County is affecting telephone and internet service in Currituck County government offices. The 911 Communications Center is still operating. 911 calls could go thru Pasquotank Camden Communications Center but that will not delay any emergency services response.
The 911 Communications Center’s administrative line, 252-453-3633 is not in service at this time. Crews are working to restore the fiber line estimating approximately 4:00(pm) this afternoon. Updates to service will be provided as information becomes available.
