Curtis Franklin Whitley, age 79, of Corapeake, NC died on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at his home.
Born in Portsmouth, VA on October 14, 1942 to the late Curtis E. Whitley and Nell Hasty Whitley, he was the widower of Gwendolyn Hoffler Whitley. A U. S. federal government employee until his retirement, he lived on the U. S. Naval Base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Myrtle Beach, SC and El Paso TX. He enjoyed life and having fun and was a member of, and involved with, the Ruritans, Masons, and Boy Scouts.
He is survived by his children, Curtis S. Whitley of Suffolk, VA, Lori A. Whitley of Portsmouth, VA and Mark W. Whitley of Eagle Mountain, UT; and four grandchildren, James, Braelyn, Holden, and Corbin. He was predeceased by a sister, Beverly Whitley.
