Currituck Family YMCA celebrates Grand Re-Opening

[Submitted]

The Currituck Family YMCA recently celebrated its Grand Re-Opening event and tour.

DJ Kophazy, Executive Director of the Currituck Family YMCA invited the community and chamber members to tour and learn how the YMCA is supporting community leadership throughout the region through programs such as Before & After School Care, training classes, teen leadership, development, and a collaborative educational network. Those attending toured the facility and enjoyed refreshments.

In attendance were Dr. Jack Bagwell, President College of The Albemarle, Trey Lewis of Senator Thom Tillis’ office, Leslie Ginski representative for Congressman Dr. Greg Murphy, Holly Staples director of College of The Albemarle Small Business Center, and former YMCA, COA & Chamber board chair and commissioner Paul O’Neal, YMCA Membership Coordinator, Jamie Xenos, Chamber President, Josh Bass, along with Chamber ambassadors’ members and YMCA members.

While COVID-19 brought fast-moving and unexpected impacts for the YMCA and its community, the YMCA continues to prioritize customer safety and health as they work through the ongoing recovery from COVID-19.

We would like to thank everyone who came out to support the Currituck Family YMCA.
