Crews out on a training run Sunday morning from Coast Guard Station Oregon Inlet assisted a small vessel began taking on water behind the Coast Guard station.
The boat ran into trouble in “The Cut”, an unmarked channel that connects Walter Slough with the Oregon Inlet Channel.
The Coast Guard crew towed the boat back to the ramp at the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center without incident.
