
A crash Wednesday morning involving a pair of tractor trailers shut down the Lindsey C. Warren Bridge that carries U.S. 64 over the Alligator River between Dare and Tyrrell counties.
The wreck happened around 8:30 a.m. near the foot of the bridge on the Tyrrell County side.
Dare County Sheriff’s Office Major Jeff Derringer said the bridge would reopen around midday, and traffic was moving again at 12 p.m.
The N.C. Highway Patrol is investigating the wreck.
