Craig A. MacFarland

In loving memory – Craig A. MacFarland was born in Alexandria, Virginia on October 10, 1963. He passed away at his home in Manteo, North Carolina on August 27, 2019, at the young age of 55.

He is survived by his mother, Rosalind Gill of Dumfries, Virginia, sister and brother-in-law Laurie and Michael Waytovich of Charles Town, WV., and loving wife and friend for over 21-years Nancy Smith of California. His beautiful dogs Teak, Truman, and Samson were the loves of his life and traveled with him everywhere.

Craig was always adventurous, outgoing, and loved people. He became an Eagle Scout at a young age, graduated from TC Williams High School in 1981 and then went onto Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). Craig had many lifelong friends through high school into college and beyond.

His interest was in real estate investing and he traveled around the country with his love and passions in skiing, snowboarding, skydiving, scuba diving, boating, and fishing. He loved his motorcycles and became treasurer of his group in California, “Gold Country Harley Riders.”

Craig was loving, funny, kind, generous, and enjoyed meeting new people. He was a good son, brother, husband, and friend and will be missed tremendously.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association or your local Humane Society.
