Coming soon to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse…

[Outer Banks Forever/Submitted]

Do the Outer Banks hold a special place in your heart?

If you’re like me, you have many memories of beach days and incredible sunsets with friends and family – particularly at Cape Hatteras National Seashore which protects 70 miles of shorelinestarting in south Nags Head and going all the way to the end of Ocracoke Island.

This fall we announced our biggest project to date, Pathways to Your National Parks, which aims to make all three of our Outer Banks national parks safer and more connected over the next few years, while honoring the history and the coastal environment of our local community.

We are incredibly grateful for each of you who have already donated to help make this project a reality!

The new Cape Hatteras Lighthouse Pathway will enhance the experience for everyone who visits the lighthouse, starting with improvements to the entrance and providing just over 1 mile of paved path for you and your family to walk, bike, or run along.

This exciting project will only be possible with the support of people like you who love Cape Hatteras National Seashore.

Your gift today, regardless of size, will help us close the funding gap for this project so that we can start construction as early as next year – and you could see you or your family’s name recognized along the pathway!

As you celebrate a new year with your loved ones, and possibly reminisce about your favorite Outer Banks memories, I hope you will consider a gift to help us make the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse Pathway a reality next year.
