College of the Albemarle, Mid-Atlantic Christian University sign Articulation Agreement for Teacher Education Program

College of The Albemarle (COA) and Mid-Atlantic Christian University (MACU) have established a bilateral articulation agreement which will provide graduates from COA’s Associate in Arts in Teacher Preparation and Associate in Science in Teacher Preparation, a seamless transfer to MACU’s elementary education program.

Currently, uniform articulation agreements are in place for North Carolina community college graduates with an Associate in Arts in Teacher Preparation and Associate in Science in Teacher Preparation, to transfer with junior-level status to institutions within The University of North Carolina that offer baccalaureate educator preparation programs and to signatory institutions of North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities.  The bilateral articulation agreement with MACU will provide an additional seamless transfer opportunity for students pursuing their baccalaureate degree in elementary education.

Dr. Jack Bagwell, COA President, and John Maurice, MACU President, will sign the articulation agreement on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at College of The Albemarle, 1208 North Road Street.  The event will be held in the President’s Board Room, Building A, Room 100.
