Coast Guard Station Oregon Inlet has airlifted crew members from a 72-foot fishing vessel grounded offshore near the navigational channel.
A crew from Air Station Elizabeth City lifted crew members from the vessel by helicopter late Sunday morning as a precaution.
“The vessel is currently on the north side of the navigational channel and it is advised that all vessels intending to transit the inlet remain aware and proceed with caution as the situation is resolved,” the agency said in a Facebook post.
