Kill Devil Hills – Christopher Glenn Campbell, 68, died at his Kill Devil Hills, NC home Monday December 9, 2019. Chris was born July 24, 1951 and grew up in Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania. His death was preceded by the passing of his parents Glenn and Phyllis Campbell of New Bern, NC and his brother, Scott Campbell of Pennsylvania.
Chris is survived by his son, Ian Campbell of Houston Texas, and by his youngest brother, John Campbell of New Bern as well as other relatives and friends.
Chris was a successful local restauranteur and owned the popular Mexicanos restaurant in Kill Devil Hills for many years. He also loved to tend his garden often saying: “If it comes up and wants to live, I just encourage it.” Chris loved and encouraged many people in the neighborhood and around the world. He will be missed.
The family’s plans for a memorial service are pending at this time. Ian will announce the details at a future time.
