Charlotte “Dottie” Davis Ward, 86, of Manteo, NC died Sunday, October 30, 2022, at Peak Resources – Outer Banks.
A native of Manteo, she was born July 27, 1936, to the late Irene Midgett and Newton Davis.
Dottie spent her career as a bookkeeper for a number of businesses. Most recently, she worked in the gift shop at the NC Aquarium on Roanoke Island.
In addition to her parents, Dottie was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Stanley “Tarp” Ward; and her brother, Carlisle Davis.
Dottie is survived by her daughter, Deanie Ward of Manteo; two sons, Carlisle “Dub” Ward and Stan Ward (Susan) both of Manteo; and her grand-pets, Bailey, Maggie, Stinky, and Sam.
Inurnment will take place in Cudworth Cemetery. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services at this time.
