Carolyn Browning Woodard, 83, 0f Kill Devil Hills, NC died Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Spring Arbor of The Outer Banks.
Born in San Diego, CA on June 26, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Laura Lee Ornduff and Leitha Earl Browning.
An avid animal lover, Carolyn retired from Coastal Animal Hospital. She bred Persian Cats and Toy Fox Terriers.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph W. Woodard, Jr.; two daughters, Carolyn Wakeley of Kitty Hawk, NC and Yvonne Bason of Virginia Beach, VA; two sons, Winston Woodard of Kill Devil Hills, NC and Mac Woodard of Virginia Beach, VA; ten grandchildren, Elizabeth Kenan, Rachel Fucci, Benjamin Tillet-Wakeley, Stephen Harris, Evie Schneider, Woody Harris, Jonathan Tetterton, Jason Tetterton, Shelby Woodard, and Cayla Woodard; nine great-grandchildren and another on the way. Also, surviving is her brother, Charles Browning of Suffolk, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Harris.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on June 13, 2021, at Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church.
