Cape Hatteras National Seashore is currently recruiting volunteer Lighthouse Keepers on Ocracoke Island this summer from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Prospective volunteers will help staff the lighthouse and provide basic upkeep of the historical site.
Free housing on Ocracoke is available with 32 hours of volunteering a week. If you’ve ever wanted to spend the summer living on Ocracoke Island, now is your chance!
