Busy agenda for Currituck County Board of Commissioners at Monday work session

The Currituck County Board of Commissioners will hold a Work Session from 1:00 p.m. till 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2024, in the Board Meeting Room of the Historic Courthouse, 153 Courthouse Road, Currituck, North Carolina.

The following items will be presented and discussed:

• Shoreline Stability Study, Year 4, Presentation and Beach Management Plan Kickoff-Ken Willson, Coastal Protection Engineering of North Carolina

• Employment Trends-Melissa Futrell, HR Director

• Budget Discussion-Rebecca Gay, Interim County Manager

• Law Enforcement Proposed Ordinance Revisions-Megan Morgan, County Attorney

• Board of Commissioner Rules of Procedure and the Quasi-Judicial Process-County Attorney and Staff

Following the Work Session, Commissioners will travel to hear a presentation on the results of recent marketing research conducted in the county by tourism marketing firm ChandlerThinks. The presentation will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Sanderlin Auditorium, Currituck Cooperative Extension, 120 Community Way, Barco, North Carolina.
