Brian Patrick Marshall

Brian Patrick Marshall, 38, of Kill Devil Hills, NC died Tuesday, September 29, 2020. Born April 22, 1982, in Patchogue, NY, he grew up in St. Mark’s Catholic Parish and graduated from Longwood High School.

In 2014, Brian moved to Dare County, NC embracing the beach, people, outdoor sports, and family. His chef skills were widely appreciated by family and friends. Brian’s hands were his gift, he could literally fix or construct anything. Bodybuilding and being among the gym brotherhood were where he found his greatest passion and peace.

Brian’s employment included Fish Heads Bar and Grill and Kelly’s OBX Catering before he returned to his HVAC forte with Danny Hedgepeth at Airmakers, Inc. His skills, sense of humor, and generosity of self were the grateful benefit of many from Corolla to Hatteras to Manns Harbor.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Kathye Preiser-Marshall of Kill Devil Hills, and Patrick Marshall of Nags Head; sisters, Regina Marshall-Lyons (Jimmy) of Miller Place, NY and Caroline Marshall of Temple University; grandmother, Marion Marshall; and niece-goddaughter, Kathryn Patricia Lyons. Also, surviving are many aunts, uncles, and the infamous “Cousin Clan” deeply united in close-knit love, mutual support, tons of fun, and decades of memories. The current generation of family children respected, revered, and adored crazy Uncle Brian and his antics.

A product of two large Irish-Catholic families, Brian was the epitome of the loving, tough, fun-loving, opinionated, and endearing qualities found therein.

Brian’s last journey across the bar leaves behind fond memories to fill the heart holes left with many. The world is a better place and so are we, for the time spent here, Brian.

A viewing and visitation will be held Friday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Twiford Colony Chapel in Manteo. A Christian funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at Holy Trinity by the Sea Catholic Chapel in Nags Head with Deacon Al Hallatt officiating. Masks are required at the church. Following the service, the family invites all for a reception at 137 Burrus Road, Wanchese.

Kindly consider a donation in Brian’s name to the Corolla Wild Horse Fund (corollawildhorses.com/tributes), yet another awesome and deep passion of his, in lieu of flowers.
