Brian Edward Coons, age 56, of Aydlett, NC died Thursday, June 24, 2021 at his residence.
Born in Sharon, CT on April 12, 1965 to the late Howard Earl Coons and Joan Anne Kilmer Coons, he was the husband of Deborah Ravn Coons. Brian served his country honorably in the U. S. Navy as Fire Controlman and then worked as an aircraft mechanic when he retired from active duty.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five sons, Brian Edward Coons, Jr., Michael David Coons, Matthew Benjamin Coons, Isaac Anthony Coons, and Joshua Adam Coons; four step-children, Brian Joseph Rudolph, Justin Thomas Rudolph, Kristen Marie Tenney, and Madison Ravn; five brothers, Howard Earl Coons, Jr. and wife Wendy, Jeffrey Allen Coons and wife Erin, Todd Andrew Coons, and two cousins who were like brothers to him Robert Rundall and wife Melissa, and Steve Coons; and grandchildren Anya Ryann Coons, Madison Elise Coons, Liam Evan Coons, Joshua Coons, Morgan Coons, Jayden Tenney, Logan Tenney, Kaitlyn Tenney, Damion Rudolph, Xavier Rudolph, twin girls Payton and Jocelyn Rudolph, Lexi Rudolph, Seth Rudolph, and Madison Ravn.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Twiford Memorial Chapel with the Rev. F. Joe Griffith officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the William Clarence Jackson VFW Post #6060. Twiford Memorial Chapel, 405 E. Church St., Elizabeth City, NC is serving the Coons family.
