Cape Hatteras Lighthouse
The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse is not expected to open for climbing until at least late this summer due to an interior paint removal project. Learn more about the lighthouse restoration project at go.nps.gov/cahalighthouserestoration. Outdoor areas around the lighthouse remain open.

In addition to visiting the outside of the lighthouse in person, the public can also virtually visit the top and inside of the lighthouse.

Webcam
In partnership with Outer Banks Forever, a webcam was installed at the top of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. The webcam allows visitors to continue to enjoy the view from the lighthouse during the restoration project. To view the webcam, go to www.obxforever.org/obx-national-parks-webcams.
