Blue Water is inviting first responders and their families to experience the quieter side of the Outer Banks at Outer Banks West/Currituck Sound KOA Holiday for the 2nd Annual First Responders Weekend from March 25th to the 27th.

In addition to the variety of included amenities, Currituck Sound KOA offers to help first responders have memorable vacation experiences, the property will also be featuring over 30 vendors for this event weekend including Muse Bus Market and Sanctuary Vineyards. There will also be multiple food trucks, music from DJ Alan and other acts, Bounce & Boogie Bounce House for the kids, a K-9 Demo, and an appearance from the Lizard Land Reptile show.

These include brand new attractions such as a nine-hole mini-golf course, boats (pedal, banana, and row), fishing rods, fish cleaning stations, and a pedal cart track.  The campground also features over a half-mile of shoreline for guests to fish, boat, and spot wildlife.

The second annual First Responders Weekend will also feature an appearance by Smokey Bear, raffles, and team competitions.  The main activities are open to the public and will take place on March 26th.  Blue Water is requesting guests attending the event to “Pay it Forward” and contribute to a collection for the Currituck Animal Shelter during the event.

The following organizations will be in attendance, among a few others as well: Currituck Chamber of Commerce, NC Congressional Members, US Coast Guard, NC Patriot Guard Riders (Over 100 Riders), and Lower Currituck Fire Dept.
