Kitty Hawk – Anthony Bandmann, 71, father, husband, and role model, passed away on September 26, 2019. He is survived by his wife Patricia, four sons: Anthony, Ty, Jacob, and Matthew. He also leaves a son Anthony and 5 grandchildren (Breyland and Brady- Matthew; Books and Alora- Anthony and Isabella – Ty).
Anthony was a Kamehameha high school graduate, who would go on to attend Washington State college. After a year, Anthony returned home and started playing music with three of his friends and formed the Kona Inn Kanes. After achieving island wide success, he chose to step away from the limelight and pursue a medical career.
This turned out to not be his path either, so he set his sights on what would end up molding the man we all loved. He began pastoring and started his family. He also got his license and started a construction business. All the while growing into an amazing father and husband.
He loved getting up early, having a cup of coffee, and working hard. His favorite thing though was watching his boys grow and turn into the men they are today. He always answered his phone, and nothing made him smile more than listening to his boys tell him everything from the mundane to life changing events.
You only had to meet him once to never forget him and we never will.
