Annual Manteo food and coat drive on Saturday, Dec. 18

In the true spirit of giving and joy, the Manteo Police Department, Town staff and the Pea Island Preservation Society are excited to bring back the drive-thru food and coat drive on Saturday, December 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Food and other non-perishable donations will be shared among the three local food pantries right here in Manteo.

Coats for Kids and the Dellerva Collins Coat Drive for Kids will be the recipients of any coat donations.

There will be two drop-off locations, one at Town Hall and the other at the Pea Island Cookhouse Museum.

Town Hall is a convenient location when you are already downtown shopping for the holidays or if you are at the Pea Island Cookhouse, learn more about the culture and history of our community.

The Pea Island Preservation Society will also collect monetary donations to benefit Interfaith Community Outreach. And Collins Park will be festive with Christmas music, carolers and hot chocolate compliments of the Salvation Army Canteen.

No matter the location you choose, thank you for sharing such a wonderful gift during the Christmas holiday season.
