The status of climbing season at the Bodie Island Lighthouse will be announced in the next two weeks, Cape Hatteras National Seashore said in its Friday Cape Chronicle update.
The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse will not be open for climbing until at least late this summer due to an interior paint removal project.
The Hatteras lighthouse and the Bodie Island Lighthouse were both closed to climbing last season due to pandemic restrictions.
