Admiral Street beach access closed in Nags Head starting Wednesday

A temporary closure is scheduled for the Admiral Street beach access near milepost 10.5 in Nags Head starting Wednesday, May 5 at 7 a.m.

The access will reopen to pedestrian traffic with limited vehicle parking for the weekend of May 8 and 9 and temporarily close through to May 12.

The town is beginning construction of a wood-framed pedestrian walkover. Once the foundation for the structure is in place, the access will reopen to pedestrian traffic with limited vehicle parking for the remainder of construction.
