Beginning Friday morning, a temporary road closure will be in effect for West Old Cove Road in Nags Head.
A temporary detour will be installed at the intersection of W. Cobia Way and W. Old Cove Rd. redirecting traffic towards the signalized intersection at W. Danube St. and S. Croatan Highway.
The temporary road closure is necessary to permit the asphalt pavement patching operations across W. Old Cove Rd. in connection with the construction of the west side multi-use path project.
Temporary barriers and signage will be installed at the intersection of S. Croatan Hwy. and W. Old Cove and near the intersection of W. Old Cove Rd. and S. Cobia Way restricting access through the active construction zone area.
Access for property owners who reside along the portion of W. Old Cove Rd. between intersection will be maintained.
